Southern Wilderness Adventure

6 DAYS SOUTHERN CIRCUIT FLY-IN SAFARI SMALL GROUPS

Overview

Escape the crowds of the northern circuit and discover Tanzania’s wild south. This 6-day fly-in adventure covers three of Africa’s most extraordinary — and least visited — wildlife destinations: Ruaha National Park, Mikumi, and Nyerere (Selous). Pristine bush, private game drives, and a genuine wilderness experience that most visitors never find.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 — Dar es Salaam to Ruaha

Morning charter flight from Dar es Salaam to Ruaha National Park (approx. 1.5 hours). Afternoon game drive along the Great Ruaha River. Overnight at Ruaha bush camp.

Days 2 & 3 — Ruaha National Park

Full days exploring Ruaha — lion prides, enormous elephant herds, African wild dogs, and exceptional birdwatching. Morning and afternoon game drives. Optional walking safari with armed ranger.

Day 4 — Fly to Nyerere National Park

Morning flight to Nyerere (Selous). Afternoon boat safari on the Rufiji River — hippos, crocodiles, and fish eagles. Overnight at riverbank camp.

Day 5 — Nyerere Game Drives & Boat Safari
